So Many Adventures! July 5, 2009

Filed under: Uncategorized — snowforzo @ 10:25 pm

The past few days have been spent walk, walk, walking (as Eloise’s nanny would say…) everywhere! I started today at the Thorvaldsens Museum, where I had to sketch patterns and colors for class. Bertel Thorvaldsen was a Danish sculptor in the 1700s-18-00s. He worked primarily in Rome, but was so dearly loved in Denmark that the city built an entire museum for his work.  I went with three classmates, Shif, Sarah and Katie. Afterwards we got lunch (and coffee!) in a non-touristy square, went shopping for a bit and caught part of the Copenhagen Jazz Festival in Frue Plads.  After all of that, I went for a four hour bike ride around Copenhagen with my roomates. I saw the Little Mermaid statue! and pretty much the entire rest of the city.
